Double L Ltd has been trading since 1975 and was formed by Len Bird & Les Smith undertaking all types of roofing refurbishment, roof renewal or roof repair works. The company has maintained its family values and business acumen, whilst maintaining the moral and ethical values on which the company was originally founded. The Double L Group image has recently been updated, but has kept the originality of the “LL” created in the original Logo over 40 years ago from “Len & Les”.
We strive to grow and develop our business whilst encouraging the development of our workforce. Whilst we are only a small company employing approximately 10 people, we continually endeavour to develop our employees, ensuring we have an Apprentice in training at all times. We support our employees whilst they develop undertaking and completing their NVQ’s.
Over the years the company has grown and expanded into others areas and in 2012 acquired Thundersley Joinery which produced high specification timber products, including bespoke Hardwood and Softwood Staircases. This has allowed our joinery division to expand further over the last few years.
We are members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, Competent Roofer Scheme and we are an Accredited Supplier for the provision of Passive Fire Protection, which is supported through our ISO9001.2015 Quality System.
